ToneFinder

About

Made by engineers who play.

We built ToneFinder because we got tired of hunting tones the old way.

Who's behind it

Between us there's over 50 years of combined engineering experience, most of it from running technology teams inside large organizations. The kind of place where a broken deploy means hearing about it from the CTO before lunch. Those instincts don't go away. We write ToneFinder the way we'd write anything going into production on Monday morning.

Why we built it

Owning the gear is the easy part. Knowing what to do with it is where most players get stuck. You probably know somebody who spends more time watching YouTube demos than actually playing their rig. We wanted to give them their evenings back.

What it feels like to use

Think of ToneFinder as the music nerd friend you always wanted. The one who knows how Gilmour gets his repeats and won't make you feel stupid for asking where the compressor belongs. Always around, and happy to go over the basics for the hundredth time.

Our mission

Help every player get the most out of the gear they already own. And, honestly, out of themselves in the process. Less time fiddling with knobs. More time playing.
